A limited understanding of music theory can stifle any music producers progress towards creating interesting and popular music, but a lot of music theory courses focus on topics that may be more relevant to musicians than music producers.
This course is designed to focus on the practical elements of music theory used in the creation of electronic music. In this course you will learn about rhythms, swing, keys, chords, writing basslines, writing melodies and hooks too.
You will also learn how to work out the key of any audio sample and transpose it into another key whilst also time stretching the sample in time. This is extremely useful when working with acapellas or when remixing another track as sometimes theĀ key information found online can be incorrect.
On top of this you will also learn how to structure and arrange your ideas into a flowing, coherent piece of music with ease and learn how to analyse other songs to learn their secrets.
